Brief Summary:
Practice day walk with opportunity to develop/demonstrate the I can statements towards OAS bushwalking stage 3. Available to Cubs Scouts, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders. Accompanied by a Scouts NSW adventurous activity guide with wilderness first aid. Direct and indirect supervision guide or guides walk in front or behind youth patrols.

Glenbrook Station to Emu Plains Station via Glenbrook Park, Knapsack Reserve, Lennox Bridge, Marges Lookout, Elizabeth Lookout, Knapsack Viaduct, John Whitton Memorial Obelisk, Lennox Centre, Emu Plains Station

Approx 7.5 km to 10 km

Only suitable for active youth and adults who exercise regularly and or play sport. Good fitness and health required.

All participants require a Scouts NSW membership number.

Parents and carers can only attend if they are registered adult helpers confirming their WWCC has been checked by Scouts NSW and they have completed WHS and Child Safe Scouting e learning modules.

Approx times: 

9 am Arrive Glenbrook Station, 10 am Glenbrook Park/Glenbrook Visitors Centre, 11 am Knapsack Bridge, 1 pm Knapsack Viaduct, 3 pm Emu Plains Station

Wear casual clothes, with walking shoes

Day pack, sun hat, personal first aid, water, healthy lunch and snacks, umbrella and rain jacket, sunscreen, insect repellant, camera (optional)
