Post School for Adventure Macquarie Pass Canyon

SFA is looking at creating a new and exciting activity option and needs your help in trying one out.

What is canyoning?

Bushwalking, rock hopping, sliding, swimming, jumping and abseiling down Macquarie Rivulet. 

What if I didn’t abseil at SFA?

You can still join the fun in the canyon and walk around all the abseils, Let us know on the google form so we can plan ahead.

How much does it cost?

$25 covers fuel and gear hire

When is it?

Saturday 11^th November

Where?

We will meet at Heathcote Scout Camp at 8am and return there in the afternoon around 5-6pm. We will call when we are driving home with an ETA time.

What do I bring?

• Wetsuit (if you have one)
• Thermal top and pants
• Raincoat (even if it’s sunny!)
• Water bottles (2L minimum)
• Sunscreen 
• Lunch and snacks (muesli bars are good and don’t get soggy in the water)
• Backpack to hold your bottle, snacks, harness and wetsuit (this will get wet).
• Running shoes that have good grip and can get wet (Beach style/water shoes are not appropriate for canyoning and bushwalking). 
• Towel, change of clothes and dry shoes in a separate bag to be left at the bus
