Parramatta District Swimming Carnival (Scouts)

The annual Parramatta District Scouts Swimming Carnival is being held at Wentworthville Memorial Swim Centre.
Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on the Scouts.
Scouts will be using the 50m pool, whilst the Cubs will be using the 25m pool.

Patrol Registration:

To register a Patrol the PL needs to:

• Click the 'Add Patrol' button on the right, then enter their Patrol name and PL details, then save and close
• Click on the new 'Manage' button, then enter details of the Scouts in their Patrol (first name, surname and Scout membership number)

PLs need to register in Patrols by Friday 16 February to receive the early bird points. 

Program:

6:15pm - Registration commences (PLs only)
6:40pm - Opening Parade/ Founder’s day service
7:00pm - SYC & Event Registrations can continue
7:15pm - Scouts Swimming Events Commence (in the main 50 metre pool)

• Event 1: Patrol freestyle relay (4x 50m relay)
• Event 2: Patrol PFD relay (4x 30m relay)
• Event 3: Patrol captain ball (Treading water activity)

REMOVE LANE ROPES

• Event 4: Patrol duck dive relay (4x 25m)
• Event 5: Single swimmer medley - open age (Backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle across the pool 25m each stroke)
• Event 6: Patrol tube tow (4x 25m)
• Event 7: Patrol Li-Lo chariot relay (4x 25m)
• Event 8: Patol Li-Lo caravan (fun race - does not count in points tally)

9:30pm - Closing parade

Location:   

Wentworthville Memorial Swim Centre, 115 Dunmore Street Wentworthville 

• Scout shirt and scarf
• swimmers with rashie/t-shirt  

Cost:   

• $10 for Scouts
• Free for spectators

Bring:   

1. Small back pack containing :-

• change of dry clothes 
• towel
• rain coat
• jumper
• water bottle
• snacks (optional)

2. Small amount of cash to purchase something from the shop or Scout BBQ (optional)
3. Chair or picnic rug to sit on (optional)

#### IMPORTANT ####

Your Scout MUST be able to swim 50m to participate in the swimming activities - you need to accept both the activity permissions (can swim 50m and swimming).
