Brief Summary:
Scout Patrols from Parramatta District will be competing in the biennial very wide game. This activity is for Scouts and linking Cubs.

Description:

Patrols will be undertaking a very wide game starting at The Picnic Grounds in Parramatta Park and then heading off to photo bomb answers to a range of clues and collect items on a scavenger list. The Patrols will catch public transport into the city and may also get to Manly and Watsons Bay.
PLs can confirm that their Patrol is present and collect scorinbg sheet from 8:30am with Opening Parade at 8:45am followed by a brief District Scout Youth Council (SYC) with all PLs. The wide game will commence after District SYC.

Patrol Registration:

To register a Patrol the PL needs to:

  • Click the 'Add Patrol' button on the right, then enter their Patrol name and PL details, then save and close
  • Click on the new 'Manage' button, then enter details of the Scouts in their Patrol (first name, surname and Scout membership number)

Patrol needs to registered no later than 6:00pm on Friday 15 November for early bird points.

Adult Helper:

Each Patrol must have an adult (over 18 yrs old) accompanying them (cannot be a Leader).
This adult will provide supervision, but will not assist the Patrol.

Cost:

Scouts need to have an Opal card with a minimum balance of $10.

Wear:

  • Scout shirt and scarf
  • Hat
  • Comfortable shoes for walking.

Bring:

  1. Digital camera or mobile photo (minimum 1 per Patrol)
  2. Small day pack containing:-
  • water bottle
  • rain coat
  • jumper
  • small first aid kit
  • lunch and snacks or money to buy lunch and snacks
