Brief Summary:
An easy bicycle ride on shared path and not on the road. Ideal for novice riders and those wanting a chilled glide around a fantastic park
Additional Information

Bike are available for borrowing if you don't have one!

Sydney Olympic Park has 35km of shared bicycle path - not that we will ride them all :) The paths wind past wetlands, forests, parklands and the Olypmic games stadium. It is possible to ride through 4 (yes four!) different fountains!

This ride will be about 7km long and be slow and easy for novice riders to get confidence. The paths are mostly flat with a few gentle hills. We will ride between the fountains and see a few interesting things around the park. Parents and guardians, especially of novice riders, are welcome to ride along with us.

We can also work on some OAS ticks (for the Joeys/Cubs/Scouts/Venturers) and trained participant ticks for the leaders if you are interested. Please let me know

Please let me know if you would like any adjustments or need to let us know about conditions that would impact on the running of the trip - there is a question section for that.

There is a chance of getting wet on this ride. Please come prepared

We will meet at Allen Street Reserve at Allen Street in Homebush.

(The parking is free there, and we get to ride past a fantastic wetland area)

You will need to bring the following for the ride:

  • A safe and functioning bicycle
  • An approved bicycle helmet that fits
  • Enclosed shoes
  • Water and snacks
  • Sun protection (sunscreen and hat if we stop riding)
  • Other items (like small first aid kit, bicycle repair kit etc if you have them)

Since we will be riding over lunch time you may want to think about bringing lunch too

Joeys/Cubs/Scouts/Venturers are recommended to wear their uniform shirt to the event
