Brief Summary:
Enjoy a half day paddle around Homebush Bay, check out Ikea (from the water) and the shipwrecks at the top of the Bay. This event is for Scouts and up who have some paddling experience.
Additional Information

This is a social paddle from the Epping Scouts Boatshed (150 Bowden Street, Meadowbank) around Homebush Bay to be followed by a saussage sizzle on the deck. We will be launching from a pontoon, then crossing the Parramatta River to do a circuit of Homebush Bay. We will explore the shipwrecks at the top of the bay and be able to get a nive view of Rhodes Waterfront and Ikea.

Participants will be provided with canoes, paddles and PFDs, however, you are wellcome to BYO equipment if you prefer to do so. All equipment will be checked for safety prior to use.

Bring a water bottle and snacks to take with you on the water, a saussage sizzle lunch will be provided on our return which you may enjoy on the boatshed deck overlooking the river.

On the day, remembering you will get wet, you will need to bring:

  • any medication you require
  • sunscreen
  • hat
  • morning tea
  • water bottle
  • wear sunsafe clothing (long sleeves recommended)
  • spray jacket (to keep warm)
  • wear fully enclosed shoes that will get wet (no crocs, thongs etc)
  • dry clothes to travel home in

Activities are subject to suitable weather conditions. If for any reason the event is cancelled, you will be able to rebook or obtain a refund. If you are unable to attend after registering, you will not be entitled to a refund.
