Dunphys campground overnight hike

Dependent on safe weather conditions, this location has unsealed road access.

This activity may be cancelled at short notice due to health requirements.

Katoomba Station to Dunphys campground via Old Ford Reserve and Megalong Road

16 km each day from Explorers Tree

OR 8 km each day from Megalong Road/Aspinall Road (6FT crosses Megalong Road)

Meeting point Katoomba Station commuter carpark Goldsmith Place opposite The Gearin Hotel 8:00 am.

Toilets available Old Ford Reserve, Dunphys campground (Carlon Farm)

This route includes road access at various points and some road walking.

Suitable for youth members who are learning to carry a loaded pack. This route includes walking track and unsealed roads. Suitable for entry level participants. Suitable for youth and adults who exercise and or play sport regularly.

This walk is longer and involves endurance. 

Option for participants to join near the half way location Megalong Road if they have access to transport.
