Pipeline Canyon & Starlight Canyon - Newnes

Suitable for experienced Venturers, Rovers, Leaders.

Depending on experience, fitness and conditions we will explore the whole of the canyon including the seldom visited  upper secton or just the bottome section.

All participants must have current Level 1 Abseiling accreditation, have some experience in canyons and be sufficiently fit to complete the walk in/out of 8 km's each way for Starlight.

Come for one or come for both !!

Camping is available at the beautiful Newnes campground, but all participants must be self sufficient for camping and meals.

All participants must bring with them a day pack containing:

2 litres water

Lunch and snacks.

Rain Shell/Jacket  (NOT a thin Raincoat or poncho!)

Sturdy non-slip shoes  (Dunlop Volleys preferred!). 

**Wetsuit  & Thermal Top**

Swimmers

Sun Hat & Sunscreen

Small first aid kit

Woolen jumper or fleece

10-15 litre Dry Bag or 3 strong plastic bags for waterproofing clothes and food

Camera or “Go-Pro” (waterproofed!)

Spare change of shoes, socks, clothes and a towel 

Helmets, harnesses and descenders will be provided for all participants; however you are encouraged to bring your own gear.
